We’re a local family who’d heard only good things about Roost, choosing a visit from some Dutch friends to sample the promised delights. We weren’t disappointed! On arrival we were made very welcome and immediately shown to our table by the attentive staff. Drinks ordered we were told about the day’s special and our options therein. Appetite whetted, we awaited our food with some anticipation. On arrival all six of us were duly impressed with the presentation, the food looked universally delicious; which is exactly as it turned out. The execution of an eclectic mix of dishes was of a very high quality, without exception. Dessert and coffee was just as good. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the bill, much lower than expected. We’d definitely recommend to locals and visitors alike.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of this small town. The menu is varied, there’s plenty of choice from traditional English dishes, pizza and salads. I had a fantastic Sri Lankan curry. Service is great too!

Delicious Family Lunch – We’ll Be Back! We had a lovely lunch at Roost Restaurant and Bar on May 31, 2025, with our family of five. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very efficient, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Service was quick without ever feeling rushed. The setting is charming and perfect for a relaxed family meal. We’ll definitely be returning — a real gem in Malmesbury!

La Campagna is a great Italian restaurant located in Malmesbury. The staff were very friendly and welcoming when we walked in for lunch on Saturday. The food was excellent - we had the risotto and lasagna, which both tasted authentic and delicious. The desserts were also very good. The restaurant is conveniently located near short stay parking, and only a 5 minute walk from the long stay car park. Overall, we had a great experience at La Campagna and would definitely recommend it to others.

We went for a quiet Italian lunch. Roost came up perfectly with calamari, bruschetta and a seafood mixed grill. All perfectly cooked with beautiful flavours- even down to a super tasty garnish salad! But the most surprising treat was the Sri Lankan curry - what a wonderfully spiced, fresh curry with flat bread and rice. I can safely say it was one of the best dishes I have eaten. Super service and good wine. Absolutely recommend Roost to any Malmesbury visitors or residents.

If you haven't already, you have to treat yourself to a meal at Roost Malmesbury! This was our first experience dining here, and it was sublime! The restaurant is beautiful, cosy, clean, and stylish. The food was honestly amazing! I had mussels as a starter, and the current special, a delicious SriLankan curry with prawns and chicken, cooked to perfection! The staff at The Roost are just the loveliest, and most warm and welcoming people! The young gentleman that looked after us for the evening was so polite, friendly, and hard working. Some people have said the restaurant is confused, or doesn't know what it's doing, but actually I love having a choice! It felt really refreshing to get rid of the rule book and just dive in! Perhaps some people need to open their minds a little and live! Let's keep using our wonderful local businesses!

Amazing place to have food in Malmsbury . We were a party of 8 with different taste in food , some vegetarian and some vegan. I can say we were all satisfied. The menu offers dishes from the Italian tradition and dishes from the srilankan tradition. It is not fusion food, just a menu that offered two different styles of cuisine . The atmosphere is great and the interior is pretty clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Soup of day ***** Lentil and butternut- just delicious! Chargrilled chicken ***** Served with delicious vegetables in a creamy sauce mixed grill **** Served with fries and a little salad . I recommend you to order medium rare rice and curry ( great for vegans) ***** Everything cooked to perfection and tasted as if we were having the food in srilanka pork steak **** seafood Risotto *** Rice was cooked well. Personally found it a bit sweet. sirloin Steak ***** Asked for a medium rare - and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious too! Will be going back !

I am happy to say that , the food was so delicious and appealing. Very well presented with balanced flavours. The service was excellent with the friendly and courteous staff. The atmosphere was beautifuly arranged with charming and antique decorations, it makes you feel relaxed and very welcoming.... Recommending with no doubts to experience the fantastic food in this lovely restaurant.... I wish I could experience it every day.
